Megan M. Sherr is a nationally recognized family law attorney whose practice is defined by her command of high-asset divorce, complex financial litigation, and sophisticated marital estate disputes. As President, CEO, and founding shareholder of Sherr Puttmann Akins Lamb PC, she brings more than two decades of legal experience to clients navigating the dissolution of substantial marital estates, including those involving business valuations, executive compensation structures, investment portfolios, and significant real property holdings.
Megan’s practice encompasses the full spectrum of high-stakes family law, from complex asset division, contested income determinations, and maintenance disputes to parental responsibilities matters where protecting the best interests of children is paramount. She brings the same analytical rigor to custody and parenting time disputes as she does to cases involving forensic accountants, business valuators, and financial experts, distilling complex facts into compelling legal arguments whether at the negotiating table or in the courtroom.
Before entering private practice, Megan served as a Deputy District Attorney for the City and County of Denver. She also served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Larry Naves, former Presiding Judge of Denver District Court, and began her legal career as a paralegal at Paul Weiss Rifkind Wharton & Garrison LLP. Megan earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Denver in 1999 and her Bachelor of Arts in Communications with a concentration in Conflict Management from the University of Colorado, where she was a member of the Honors Program and Dean’s List.
